تعاني المملكة حالياً من محدودية الخيارات الترفيهية المتاحة بها، حيث تتركز معظمها في المدن الرئيسية و بالإضافة الى قلتها فإنها لا تستهدف سوى شرائح محدودة من المجتمع. وعلى الرغم من النموّ الاقتصادي الذي حققته المملكة خلال العقد الماضي، فقد شهد قطاعي الترفيه والسياحة الداخلية تراجعاً مقارنةً بالارتفاع الذي شهده حجم السياحة الوطنية المغادرة ولاسيما لدور الجوار مثل الأردن والإمارات العربية المتحدة و غيرها.
