وزاد عدد السياح والزوّار لمدينة زايد أثناء فترة المهرجان، لزيارة سوق الظفرة وفعاليات المهرجان، حيث يتوافدون سنوياً لبوابة الربع الخالي للتعرّف على حياة الصحراء والتمتع بأصالة العادات والتقاليد العربية.
وحظي موقع المهرجان بأهمية خاصة، كونه يقام على مساحة واسعة من صحراء المنطقة تتجاوز عدة آلاف من الأمتار المربعة، وبما يختلف عن أي فعاليات أخرى تُقام في أماكن مغلقة أو محدودة، بما يعنيه ذلك من جهود مضاعفة في مجال التنظيم والدعم اللوجستي.
