العلامة التجارية الغير محددة المدة يتم الاعتراف بها مبدئياً بالقيمة العادلة بتاريخ الميزانية العمومية. العلامة التجارية يتم تقييمها لتحديد الانخفاض في قيمتها (إن وجدت) وذلك للتأكد من عدم وجود أي إنخفاض جوهري في قيمتها، وعندئذِ يتم تعديل القيمة الدفترية بقيمة هذا الإنخفاض وتحميله على قائمة الدخل.
