يدور هذا البحث حول التعريف بجامع و مدرسة الاشرفية الواقعة في مدينة تعز ، الجمهورية اليمنية . وتاريخ عمليات الحفاظ والترميم التي شملتها ، كونها تقدم صورة لظاهرة بناء المدارس التي انتشرت في اليمن خلال القرون الثالث عشر وحتى الخامس عشر الميلادي ، حين كانت اليمن تحت حكم الدولة الرسولية ، التي كان لها الفضل الكبير في نشر المدارس على اوسع نطاق في مناطق حكمها . 
ويعتبر جامع ومدرسة الاشرفية نموذج للمدرسة المتكاملة بمعناها الاوسع كمجمع علمي من الناحية النظرية للوظيفة ، فقد ضمنت عبر التاريخ اكثر من مستوى دراسي . 
ومن الناحية المعمارية يعتبر الجامع محققا لكافة الاهداف التصميمية من خلال توزيع الفراغات وتقسيم تلك الوظائف ادى الى ظهور تصميم معماري متكامل و مترابط ، وايضا من النواحي الفنية والزخرفية وتوظيفها . 
واهم ما يستخلصه البحث هو دراسة الوضع الراهن ومدى تواؤم البناء مع البيئة المحيطة ، الذي جعلها تعيش لاكثر من ستمائة سنة ، لا تزال حتى اليوم شاخصة بأبرز معالمها ، بالرغم من العوامل المسببة للخراب .
متناولا اساليب الحفاظ والترميم بمراحلها المختلفة التي ساهمت ببقائها ، 
وتنتهي الدراسة بتقييم لعمليات الحفاظ و الترميم السابقة و وضع اقتراحات وتوصيات للحفاظ على المبنى باعتباره تراثاً معماريا يجب المحافظة عليه .

This research revolves around the definition Mosque and Ashrafieh located in the city of Taiz School, Republic of Yemen. And the history of conservation, restoration covered by the operations, it may provide an image of the phenomenon of building schools , which has spread in Yemen during the thirteenth centuries and until the fifth century AD, when Yemen was under the rule of apostolic state, which had the great merit of the publication of the schools on a larger scale in its areas. 
The mosque and school Ashrafieh model for integrated schools wider sense as the pool of scientific theory for the job, has secured through history more than grade level. 
Architecturally , the index reached the mosque for all design goals is through the distribution of voids and split those jobs has led to the emergence of an integrated and coherent architecture, and also of the technical aspects and decorative and employment. 
And extracted the most important thing is to study the current situation and the extent of harmonization of construction with the surrounding environment, which make it live for more than six hundred years old, not even today still fixed on the most prominent landmarks, in spite of the causal factors of the ruins.
It addressed the methods of maintaining and repairing the various stages that have contributed to survival, 
and the study concludes with an assessment of the operations of preserving and previous restorations and to develop proposals and recommendations to keep the building as an architectural heritage that must be preserved.

This paper is about definition of mosque and Al Ashrafieh, situated in the city of Taiz, Republic of Yemen.
