تتمثل المهام الرئيسية لأدارت الأمانة العامة والحوكمة والمتمثلة بالآتي ( الحوكمة، علاقات المساهمين، التنسيق والمتابعة ). بتقديم الاستشارات لرئيس مجلس الإدارة والمجلس واللجان فيما يتعلق بتطبيق الأنظمة واللوائح ذات الصلة بأعمال المجلس، و فيما يتعلق بتطبيق مبادئ ولوائح الحوكمة وإعمال قواعد عدم تعارض المصالح، والتنسيق مع الجهات الاستشارية في المسائل التي يطلب فيها رئيس المجلس أو المجلس استشارة جهة خارجية.
