أكد خبراء محليون على أن «الطبقة الوسطى» بدأت تضيق في صالح «الطبقة الدُنيا»، وذلك بعد أن زادت المتطلبات المعيشية وارتفعت الأسعار، وظهرت قضية البطالة والسكن والتضخم، فأصبحت الفجوة بين طبقات المجتمع متباينة.

وتُعد «الطبقة الوسطى» صمّام الأمان الاقتصادي والأمني والاجتماعي لأي دولة، إلاّ أن هناك عدة أسباب وقفت ضد نموها، أهمها التضخم المالي في الأسعار، وكذلك النمو السكاني العالي، وخطط تنموية لم تراع الواقع المعيشي؛ في ظل ثبات الرواتب لأكثر من (35) عاماً.
