قد تستغل اللجنة كوسيلة لقتل المشكلة المطروحة للنقاش من خلال لجوء الاعضاء المناوئون إلى الولوج في امور ثانوية و موضوعات فرعية تؤدي إلى ضياع الجوهر و عدم القدرة على تحقيق الهدف من انعقاد اللجنة، حيث يلجأ الاعضاء المعارضون إلى المناقشات الجانبية و رواية النكات و النوادر التي تبدد الوقت و الجهد و تحد من فعالية اللجنة في الوصول لحل للمشكلة المطروحة
