وقد اعتمدت الدراسة على منهج البحث الوصفي التحليلي فتم استخدام ادوات البحث الكمي والنوعي. بحيث تم جمع البيانات من 20 موقع مجتمع محلي تعمل فيها جمعية الهلال الاحمر من اصل 74( مجتمع الدراسة)، ولهذا الخصوص تم تصميم واستخدام اربعة استمارات استطلاعية مسحية للفئات التي تم العمل معها وهم المتطوعون/ات في لجان التوعية المجتمعية في برنامج التثقيف الصحي والمجتمعي (28 استمارة)،
