مصروف الزكاة يجب أن يقدر بشكل صحيح وأن يقيد في نهاية كل سنة استنادا للزكاة المستحقة عن السنة االماضية مع الاخذ الاعتبار التغيرات في بنود وعاء الزكاة. يجب أن تظهر الزكاة في الجانب المدين حساب مصروف الزكاة (الخاص بالفترة الحالية) والجانب الدائن من مخصص الزكاة.
