من الامور المهمة في الترجمة القانون

من الامور المهمة في الترجمة القانونية عدم امكانية اختزالها لأنها مختزلة أصلا. إذ لا يجوز للمترجم القانوني أن يختصر أية مادة قانونية لأنها مقتضبة أصلاً ومحدودة الكلمات وأن حذف أية كلمة ربما يؤثر جزئياً او كلياً على المادة القانونية. لذلك لا تخضع الترجمة القانونية للأيجاز ويفضّل اتبّاع الترجمة الحرفية الدقيقة مع الحفاظ على المعنى الدقيق للنص. وهذا لا يعني أن نضحّي بالمعنى بسبب الحرف وإنما احترام الحرف مع الحفاظ على المعنى ونقله بأمانة . وهذا يعني محاولة ايجاد المرادف القانوني الدقيق لكل مفردة من المفردات مع الاهتمام الدقيق بنقل المعنى القانوني. ففي مثل هذه الحالة يكون المترجم قد حافظ على الامانة العلمية .
