وتضطلع وزارة الشؤون الاجتماعية في هذا الإطار بالعديد من البرامج وفق الخطط التنموية للدولة، ومنها الاستمرار في توفير الرعاية الاجتماعية المؤسسية للمستحقين وتوسيعها لمواكبة مستجدات الاحتياجات الاجتماعية للمجتمع السعودي ودعم برامج الرعاية الاجتماعية غير المؤسسية بالاستمرار في صرف الإعانات المالية للمستحقين ودعم المشروعات الإنتاجية التي تقدم للأفراد والأسر من خلال برامج خاصة بهذا الشأن تتبناها وكالة الضمان الاجتماعي الى جانب تعزيز ودعم أنشطة وبرامج الرعاية الاجتماعية الموجهة للمقيمين بالمؤسسات الإيوائية وتكثيف الاهتمام برعاية الأسرة والطفولة من خلال دعم أنشطة الإدارة العامة للإشراف النسائي وتهيئة الاستقرار الاجتماعي لنزلاء مؤسسات الرعاية الاجتماعية السابقين عبر الإدارة العامة للرعاية اللاحقة بالوحدات الإدارية الميدانية والكفاءات الفاعلة وتشجيع العمل الاجتماعي التطوعي بالاستمرار في دعم تنشيط خدمات التعاون والجمعيات والمؤسسات الأهلية الخيرية.
