تغيّرت توجُّهات وقناعات العديد من أولياء أمور الطلاب في الآونة الأخيرة تجاه تسجيل أبنائهم في المدارس الحكومية، واتجه العديد منهم نحو المدارس العالمية "التعليم الأجنبي" أو تلك المدارس التي تُطبِّق برامج "المناهج الدولية"، مرجعين السبب إلى أنَّ هذه المدارس تعتمد في تدريسها على أساليب ونماذج عصرية تواكب المرحلة الحالية وتتناسب مع الاحتياجات المستقبلية لأبنائهم في هذا الصدد، خصوصاً أنَّ تلك المدارس تُزوّد طلابها بمهارات اللغة الإنجليزية وبعض اللغات العالمية الأخرى.
