ويشير الحجم المتزايد لعدد الرحلات المغادرة إلى خارج المملكة سنويا إلى النمو المضطرد في حركة المسافرين لأغراض السياحة والعلاج وغيرها، إذ بلغ عدد الرحلات المغادرة إلى خارج المملكة في العام 2014 نحو 20.1 مليون رحلة، مقابل 19.1 مليون رحلة في العام 2013، بنسبة نمو 5%، بما يعادل 897 ألف رحلة.
