There are four main parts to Blackboard Discussion Task Two.

Part One – The Original Text

Choose a text which is related to the topic of Term Paper One. This must be the web-based source and not from the textbook.

Choose a section of the text that you want to paraphrase.

Copy this section ‘word for word’ into a new thread.

Please write the end of text APA citation underneath the original text.

You may not choose a text which has already been chosen by another student. Also, you cant repeat the sentence or section that you have used in BB Discussion 1.

Part Two –Paraphrase

Paraphrase the original text (length 15-30 words). Change the vocabulary and grammar but keep the meaning the same.

Part Three – Integrated Response

Build upon and develop the ideas contained within the paraphrase using your own words (length 15-30 words).

Part Four – Evaluative Comment

Constructively comment on another students’ paraphrase and integrated response. Copy the entire work of the student ( not comments by anyone on his/ her work. Only the passage and paraphrase)posted. Then, write your comment following the instructions for comments. You only need to write a comment for one student.

Please comment on the following things,

the accuracy of the APA in-text citation
the quality of the paraphrase (vocabulary, grammar, and idea replication)
the relationship between the integrated comment and the paraphrase

Assessment

Your paraphrase, integrated response, and evaluative comment will be assessed out of 3 marks.

This discussion task will end on March 21st. It is open after that till Nov 1st but the late penalty of minus one per day is applied after Oct 29th.
