فعبر المشاركة المجتمعية يمارس الفرد دورا في الحياة العامة والسياسية والمجتمعية، وتتوفر له الفرصة في ان يشارك في وضع الاهداف العامة لمجتمعه المحلي وآليات تحقيقها وهذا يعني تعزيز مسئولية الفرد والجماعات في المساهمة في تنمية مجتمعاتهم (زيدية، 2012). وتبين الدراسات ان المشاركة المجتمعية هي وسيلة او احد اهم الوسائل الرئيسية لتمكين المجتمع (افرادا وقطاعات) في ان يتصدر الدور القيادي في بلوغ اهداف النمو والتقدم والتضامن (مصدر سابق، 2012).

Through community participation exercise individual role in public and political life and community, and have the opportunity to participate in the formulation of overall objectives for the community and mechanisms to achieve this means strengthening the responsibility of the individual and groups to contribute to the development of their communities (zaidiyyah, 2012). Studies show that community participation is a means or one of the most important main means for community empowerment (individuals and sectors) in the top leadership role in achieving the objectives of growth and progress and solidarity (source, 2012).
