لا يدرك الكثيرون أهمية اللغة في حياة الشعوب، ولا يدركون أن حفظ اللغة وضمان استمراريتها يكون بقدر محافظتنا عليها كأفراد ناطقين بها. إن عدم إدراك هذا الأمر كان سبباً في انقراض كثير من اللغات واللهجات في العالم. وبانقراض تلك اللغات انقرضت وتلاشت معرفتنا بشعوبها وأقوامها وثقافاتها.
