كما أن وظيفة قطاع إدارة المخاطر مستقلة ومنفصلة عن قطاعات الأعمال بالبنك، وذلك بناءً على تعليمات وإرشادات مؤسسة النقد العربي السعودي وتعليمات لجنة بازل، حيث طور البنك أُطر عمل لتحديد وقياس وإدارة المخاطر وحدد وظيفة إدارة المخاطر على أنها إدارة منفصلة عن قطاعات الاعمال، وتشمل عملية إدارة المخاطر المصرفية أنواع مختلفة من المخاطر المصرفية مثل مخاطر الائتمان ومخاطر السيولة ومخاطر العمليات ومخاطر السوق
