أما الصيد، فعملية إرتياد البحر كانت تتم بعد وجبة العشاء، حيث كان والده يجمع الكبار من أفراد العائلة مع مجموعة أفراد من القرية للذهاب بعد الساعة السابعة مساءآ لإصطياد الأسماك. وقد تستغرق عملية الصيد وقتأ كان يتراوح بين ثلاث الى خمس ساعات، تبعآ لوجود السمك من عدمه. وكانوا في بعض الأيام،يعودون الى القرية قرب صلاة الفجر، وفي غالب الأيام كانو يعودون بين الساعة الواحدة والثانية صباحآ.
