ويوجد دوافع للعمل الطوعي الفردي منها بسبب انساني او خيري. سياسي، او تحقيق الذات. ومعطيات التطوع تعتمد على وجود متطوع لديه فائض في الموارد ورغبة في المساعدة، والمتطوع له هو المستفيد من جهود التطوع كونه في حالة ضعف او حاجة، كوارث، حروب، مشاكل اجتماعية. ازمات او غير ذلك. في حين ما يتم التطوع به ياخذ شكل الوقت، الجهد، المال، الخبرات وقد تكون منفردة او مجتمعة ( مصدر سابق،2007).
