تتكاثر بالبذور فى الربيع التى تنبت فى اسبوع واحد عند حرارة 20-21 تزرع البذور فى مواجير او صناديق ثم تفرد بعد ظهور الاوراق الفلقية حيث تزرع 2-3 بادرات فى اصيص واحد وبعد 45 يوم تنقل الى اصص اكبر بمعدل نبات واحد لكل اصيص او تزرع بالارض المستديمة تحرث الارض وتسوى وتقسم الى احواض وتزرع النباتات فى صفوف المسافة بين الصفوف 25-30سم وبين النباتات 12-25سمتحتاج النباتات الى 3 شهور لانتاج ازهار الربيع والخريف اما فى الصيف الحار تحتاج شهران يمكن الحصول على ازهار الزينيا من مايو الى اكتوبر وذلك بزراعتها فى عروات متتالية
