وإنشغال الأولاد بالتعليم في رأي الأباء ، قد يقود للنقص في مداخيل الأسر التي كانت في الأساس تعاني من الكفاف وضيق ذات اليد. ولذلك قام عدد من الأباء بمنع أولادهم من الإنضمام الى المدرسة المفتوحة حديثاً آنذاك، كما اسلفنا سابقا، بينما أقتنع آخرون وهم كثير بمنافع وفوائد التعليم والحاجة الى العلم وسمحوا لأبنائهم بالذهاب للمدرسة وكنت أحد المحظوظين الذين وافق أولياء أمورهم على دخول المدرسة.
