يجوز إعادة تصنيف السندات المتاحة للبيع إلى "الاستثمارات الأخرى المقتناه بالتكلفة المطفأة" في حالة الوفاء بشروط تعريف "الاستثمارات الأخرى المقتناه بالتكلفة المطفأة"، وعند وجود النية والمقدرة لدى المجموعة على الاحتفاظ بالموجودات المالية في المستقبل المنظور أو حتى تاريخ استحقاقها.
