ويعتبر المجتمع الفلسطيني مجتمعا فتيا، وفي غزة بشكل اكبر مما هو عليه في الضفة. حيث تقدر نسبة الأفراد في الفئة العمريـة (0-14) سنة لعام 2014 بحوالي 39.7% من مجمل السكان فـي فلسطين، بـواقع 37.6% في الضفة الغربية و43.2% في قطاع غزة.
