توجد مناجم فوسفات في جنوب المملكة، جاعلة من الأردن ثالث أكبر مصدر لهذا المعدن في العالم، البوتاس، الأملاح، الغاز الطبيعي والحجر الكلسي هم أهم المعادن الأخرى المستخرجة؛ فالأرض الزراعية محدودة، والموارد المائية نادرة إلى حد بعيد.‏
